About VetEZ Claim

What is VetEZ Claim?
A free tool for iPhone, Android and the web that allows you to complete VA claim, appeal and related forms, e-sign, and send the finished form to the right office by fax or e-mail. We also offer several assistive tools like calculators and self-assisted guides. It is made by VetClaims Alliance, a nonprofit.
Is it really free? What's the catch?
Every feature is free once you create an account and complete your profile. There are no subscriptions, no paid upgrades, no percentage of your back pay and no referral fees. Donations are optional. There is no catch: we are a nonprofit, and the app exists so veterans can file without paying anyone.
Who is behind it?
VetClaims Alliance is a nonprofit corporation registered in Washington State. Our focus is on Veteran Technology solutions that can be provided to veterans. If you have suggestions, please use the Contact page to reach us. More about us.
Are you part of the VA?
No. VetEZ Claim is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense or any government agency. The forms are VA's official forms, which you can also get directly from VA's forms page.
Are you VA-accredited? Do you represent me?
VetEZ Claim is a self-guided tool. Using it does not appoint a representative and does not create any attorney-client relationship. VetClaims Alliance does not file anything on your behalf, argue your case, or talk to VA for you. You review, sign and send your own forms. If you want someone to represent you, VA maintains a list of accredited representatives who may be able to help you. Find one here.
Are you the same as other paid claim services?
No. VetEZ Claim is made by VetClaims Alliance, a nonprofit, and is free.
Do you use AI to write my claim?
You decide what to claim and what your forms say. Some of our free guides, like the C&P exam prep guides, were written with the help of AI, and each one says so. We may offer optional AI features as assistive tools, such as help turning your own answers into a draft statement or explaining a VA letter. These features will always be labeled as AI, and AI can make mistakes. You review and edit every word, and nothing is signed or sent until you approve it.

Using the app

Which forms can I complete?
We currently offer the following forms, with more being added: Intent to File 21-0966, 21-526EZ, Supplemental Claim 20-0995, appeals: Higher-Level Review 20-0996, Board Appeal 10182, Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims forms, statements 21-4138, PTSD stressor statements 21-0781, buddy statement 21-10210, medical records release 21-4142, Individual Unemployability 21-8940, C-file request 20-10206, and CRSC (DD Form 2860) for military retirees. The full list, with what each one is for, is on our Forms page. If there is a specific form you would like to see added, please let us know.
How does the form get to VA?
Most VA forms are submitted to the Evidence Intake Center by e-fax; Board Appeals go to the Board of Veterans' Appeals. The app shows you the finished PDF first, and nothing is sent until you confirm. Afterward you get a fax confirmation number, and the History screen lets you check that it was delivered. Certain forms may be sent via e-mail or fax to non-VA sources.
Why e-fax? Can't I upload on VA.gov?
You can, and VA.gov is an acceptable way to file. We fax because VA accepts faxed forms for every form we offer, including ones VA.gov does not offer yet for online completion. We are currently pending direct upload approval for upload to the VA. If you would rather upload, use Review PDF to save the finished form and upload it yourself.
Does the app tell me what to claim or what rating I'll get?
No. It fills in the forms you choose. Our free calculators estimate a combined rating or back pay from numbers you already have, but VA decides your rating and payments. We do not estimate your chances or promise results.
Can I save a form and come back later?
Yes. Drafts save as you go, each form separately. You can review the PDF before sending, and everything you have saved or sent is in History.
I'm a military retiree. How does CRSC work in the app?
You fill in DD Form 2860, sign it, and the app e-mails it to your service's CRSC office (Army, Navy/Marine Corps or Coast Guard). For services with no CRSC e-mail address we could confirm (Air Force and Space Force, NOAA Corps, Public Health Service), you get a copy to print and mail. CRSC is decided by your military service, not VA.
Can I use it on a computer?
Yes. Everything in the phone app is also at app.vetezclaim.com. Some forms appear on the website only as new app versions are pending approval on their respective app stores. Your account works in both places.
Why does it ask for my Social Security number?
Because VA's forms require it and VA uses it to match your filing to your record. We ask only for what the form needs, and you can delete everything from your account at any time.

Your information

Who can see my information?
You, and the offices you choose to send a form to. Behind the scenes, the backend services process it only to do that job. Further details are in our Privacy Policy.
Can I delete my data?
Yes, from inside the app (Profile, then Delete account) or on the website (Settings, then Delete Account). Deletion is immediate and complete: your account, profile, signature, saved and sent forms, fax records and messages. We keep no backups that could restore it. Forms you already sent to VA stay with VA.
How long can I view completed forms?
As long as you keep your account, you can view what you filed and when. Delete the account and these are gone.

Getting help

I'm stuck. How do I reach you?
Use Contact VetEZ inside the app or on the website, or e-mail contact@vetezclaim.com.
Where can I get free help with my actual claim?
VA-accredited Veterans Service Officers (from groups like DAV, VFW, the American Legion and your county or state veterans office) help veterans for free, and accredited attorneys and agents may also be available to assist you. Search VA's list of accredited representatives.
What if I'm in crisis?
Call the Veterans Crisis Line: dial 988 and press 1, text 838255, or chat at VeteransCrisisLine.net. It is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day.
